Tool management 2.0 – a new safety standard on site
Tools have existed since the beginning of humanity and accompany the history of mankind step by step. However, times and challenges are changing. RFIDICK offers innovative solutions for the new requirements and now develops tools with which not only efficient, but also safe and transparent, traceable work can be carried out.
Quality and hygiene standards continue to rise in industry. In particular with regard to the coordination and management of tools, many companies face endless, manually managed and incorrect allocation lists, missing tools, complex tests and no process reliability. A NO-GO in terms of occupational safety, traceability and quality standards.
The goal? Never again keeping endless lists. Never again disappearing tools. Never again uncertainty about people allocation – but greater safety, less theft, a reduction in costs and a modular system that can adapt flexibly. The daily challenges may be different in every industry, but they all have a common solution: our RFID system.
The RFID system significantly increases process reliability during operation. Employees are made aware of the fact that the tools are clearly and completely allocated to a person or group of people. Experience shows that these employees use their knives or tools more carefully. In addition, the tools are clearly identifiable and tamper-proof, disappear less frequently and can be quickly reported and replaced in the event of damage without disrupting day-to-day operations. This reduces machine damage and batch contamination.
The RFID system has a modular design and can be adapted to the local conditions and challenges. A complete solution from Friedr. Dick consists of three system components: RFID tools, hardware and software. The RFID tools use RFID (radio-frequency identification) technology to mark every knife or tool and to be able to read it without contact using radio waves. The hardware could be an RFID dispensing cabinet, an RFID reader, an RFID gate or a handheld scanner that correctly scans and documents the RFID tools. The software brings both components together. The collected data can therefore be used to run (automatic) reports and analyses that increase transparency within the business and are also important within the framework of IFS certification.
The components can be easily put into operation, intuitively controlled and easily adapted. It grows with its challenges and adapts to local requirements.
